In the winter of 2024, Union made the strategic decision to require annual updates for all returning families. They anticipated the number of applications would more than triple — from 2,800 to over 9,000.

But the four-person central enrollment team was already at capacity. Every application document had to be checked by hand. Phone lines were jammed, there was a line out the door, and staff were working until 10 PM. Yet families still waited days to find out if their child's application was approved.

There was no way to scale. And 9,000 applications were on the way.

In the spring of 2025, Union brought on Edulyze Enrollment Document Verification, integrating with their Infinite Campus SIS and Microsoft Entra ID SSO.

Edulyze automatically verifies every document submitted with the application against the district's enrollment policies. Instead of hand-checking each document, the team reviews an actionable list of exceptions — freeing them to focus on complex situations like custody cases, homeless verification, and boundary questions, while routine verifications process in the background.

When the annual update request went out, thousands of applications started pouring in...
